MARCH GIVEAWAY POST... Music notes, rainbow butterfly and wishes!

Hello and welcome to March!
(Don't forget today is the giveaway post... read to the end to learn how to enter!)

February seems to have flown by even with an extra day in it! I guess that comes from being busy with painting classes in Anchorage the first two weeks of February and I feel like I've been playing catch up ever since! I haven't had a lot of time for making cards but I do fit into what little time I do have for practicing a technique, trying new to me products and just having fun making cards! It's my relaxing time as well as my business (I do sell my cards).

Today's cards were put together pretty quickly from various pieces I had laying around. How is it that sometimes you make pieces and can't find a way for them to fit onto a card and other times they seem to fall into place all by themselves! The butterfly is vellum and colored with Copic markers on the back side. It was a practice piece that I die cut after trying to decide what to do with it! It makes a great butterfly! The sentiment is from My Favorite Things "Brushstroke Birthday Greetings" with glossy accents to make it super shiny and some black half pearl gems from my stash finishes it simply.

The second card I did a lot of ink blending with Ranger distress inks through a Clear Scraps music notes stencil. It's a large stencil (12") but works great for a card! Afterwards I spritzed the ink with Perfect Pearls to make it shimmery. A simple sentiment from Papertrey Ink ("Hello Sunshine" set) and a few blue-colored gems makes this clean and simple card complete.

GIVEAWAY!! GIVEAWAY!! GIVEAWAY!!

I know... here's the part you really want to know about... the March giveaway...

Why monthly giveaways? I have won several blog hops and have other card-making supplies that just aren't my style so instead of trying to sell any extra supplies I have decided to "share the kindness" and host a monthly giveaway for two weeks on the first of every month. I have enough for a giveaway a month through 2016 so come back every month to see what the new items are! There will always be stamps (some new and some used but in great condition), dies, paper packs, embellishments and stamping tools!

March giveaway includes: Heidi Swapp "Sugar Chic" 6x6 and (not shown) Basic Grey "Fiction" 6x6 paper packs (not full packs, some pages missing); We R Memory Keepers Nesting Inverted Rectangles (7 dies); Studio Calico Gumball stamp set from "Sandlot" kit;  and one Close To My Heart 1" square acrylic block.
This giveaway will run through March 15th and I will pick a winner on March 16th!

To win all you have to do is:
1. Comment on THIS post (below) for one entry.
2. Comment and/or like giveaway photo on my Instagram account for one entry (Alaska.Kris)
3. Comment and/or like giveaway post on my Facebook page for one entry. (Alaska Forget Me Not Designs)
4. BONUS ENTRY: For a bonus (4th) entry, repost on your blog, Instagram account or Facebook page about my giveaway and leave the link in the comments on this post only.

That is four entries total per person. You have until midnight Alaska time March 15th to do one or all four ways of entering for this giveaway. I will pick a winner and contact them on March 16th. (Sorry, USA entries only due to shipping costs.)

I would love it if you followed me on all my social media accounts but it isn't required for the monthly giveaways. (But if you do follow on any of them you will know when the next giveaway is!) I make cards for the love of creating and I love to follow, like and comment on the blogs and other social media accounts of those who love to do the same. That is all.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless your day....

  7. I'm not sure which I like better, the butterfly or the music card. Both themes are very precious to me in my walk of faith!
